For a 2017 release, this has the concentration and depth of the 2014 with the scintillating acid backbone of the 2016 release, and all but defies gravity. There are ripe black and red fruit notes, loamy earth, and even notes of terracotta, alongside sagebrush and subtle blood orange notes with dusty mineral and cocoa powder freshness. Quite the wine, and one to stockpile in the cellar if you are a collector. Tasted in early 2026.
