The 'Robert's' is named after Mary Miner's husband, Robert Miner, who started Oracle with Larry Elison. Cabernet Franc was Robert's favourite variety. Oakville Ranch was established in 1989, the year of its first release. Winemaker Jennifer Rue's first vintage was in 1998. A lovely, splendid Cabernet Franc from Oakville Ranch is a singular kind of wine. Broad and expansive on the palate with exceptional floral aromatics, with surprising white peach and apricot pit notes, aged in 85% new French oak. Powerfully vibrant tannins with grippy acidity. Long and power-packed with great elegance.
