The nose bursts with prominent aromatics, mostly fruit-based, such as lemon peel, green apple and ripe stone fruit. The palate is bold and textural, balanced by lively acidity from the Picpoul. Layers of stone fruit and tropical melon unfold across a full, rounded mouthfeel, while the Roussanne contributes added richness. Big, bodacious and unapologetically California in style, this is a bright, expressive white that makes no attempt to hide its generosity. This estate white is a changing blend each vintage, with this year’s bottling composed of nearly equal parts Grenache Blanc and Picpoul, rounded out with a bit of Roussanne.
