Natural Cork

A vibrant nose of dark black cherry, perfumed rose petals, brown sugar, and cinnamon-dusted plums, all of which make appearances on the full-bodied palate, with deep layers of molasses and strawberry-rhubarb pie spices framed by gentle tannins. Named for the mythological coyote, 'Olet'te' that Marin County's native Coastal Miwok Indians believed created the Petaluma Wind Gap. This Pinot Noir comes from the 3.4ha east-facing Cayetana Vineyard in the gap, where heavy fog and coastal breezes make it challenging for Pinot clones 115, 37, 667, and Pommard to ripen fully. Aged 14 months in 60% new French oak.
