The 2023 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Brioso Vineyard, with the grapes fermented in concrete and aged for 22 months in 80% new French oak. This is a highly sophisticated wine, showing impressive density and generosity of blackberry fruit layered with cedarwood notes, minty freshness and white pepper spice, alongside the blue- and black-fruited character typical of Mount Veeder. The tannin profile is especially compelling, tight, well-knit and ultra-fine, carrying a cocoa-powder freshness that builds through the long, graphite-driven mineral finish. Powerful yet refined, this is a super-polished expression of the appellation. One Hope Winery was founded in 2007 by Jake Kloberdanz, who remains the company’s principal partner and driving force.
