Ripe and concentrated Zinfandel from two different Dry Creek vineyard sites; Pauline's Vineyard and Timber Crest Farms. Fifteen months in new François Frères barrels offer dusty black fruits, balsamic and strawberries, dried violet and black pepper. The palate is marked with rich fruit flavours of black plum, fig and cherry, and nice, dusty tannins, but the wine finishes with an elegant brightness. It shows the touch of a Pinot Noir producer making Zinfandel, a definitive fresher take.
