A blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine was aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak, sourced entirely from the Ridgeline Vineyard in Alexander Valley, a high-elevation site. The nose offers dark black fruit dusted with white pepper and wrapped in unsmoked tobacco leaves. These elements come together seamlessly on the medium-bodied palate, where dark, juicy fruit meets firm, structured tannins that provide excellent backbone. The finish expands with decadent notes of dark chocolate-covered cherry and raspberry, complemented by toasty oak spices.
