Sourced from Oakville Ranch, perched above Dalla Valle and Peter Michael’s Oakville Estate, this wine delivers the power and intensity long associated with the site. Aged for 19 months in 85% new French oak. Patria owner Tony Biagi notes that he prioritises heritage clones over ENTAV material and has therefore been sourcing fruit from a rocky block planted to Clone 7 Cabernet Sauvignon, which he values for both its structural integrity and its ability to handle heat. The result is a powerful, robust, old-school Cabernet, marked by a pronounced rocky mineral intensity layered around blackberry and black cherry fruit. Polished tannins frame the palate, carrying the wine through a finish of darker, bolder black and blue fruit, dusted with cocoa powder and underpinned by a distinctly mineral-driven finish.
