La Carriere Vineyard was planted in 1994 with clones that include Dijon and Hyde. Located at altitudes of between 366m and 518m, the soil is very rocky with volcanic Rhyolite. The soils here are shallow and the slopes reach over 40% steepness. 

This would make an excellent pairing for a classic beef tartare. It has a golden tone with an orange rim. Tropical notes are lead by sun-kissed pineapple, agave and savoury herbs. The palate has a smoky and salty quality with a dry, sherry-like finish.
