Most of the fruit selected for this top Cabernet-based wine came from Oakville, though 14% grew in St Helena. There's ripe blackcurrant fruit on the nose, which has sucrosity without jamminess. The style is subtle, almost gentle, discreet and youthful, offering sufficient acidity to balance the ripe fruit and give persistence. Still fresh, this is a food-friendly Cabernet rather than a blockbuster. Long finish.
