Cork

From the Teldeschi Vineyard, along Dry Creek Road, up a hill on a bench of deep red soils, this Zin bursts forth with strawberry and raspberry fruit, raspberry coulis, vanilla and aromatic red-earth mineral notes. Velvety tannins underscore crushed cocoa nib notes, smoked paprika, coriander and cumin, along with perfumed red florals and a mineral-scented finish. Ravenwood founder Joel Peterson is still connected to this project, reborn under Gallo ownership, and is advising the team crafting the wines now. However, the winery’s tagline has changed since the 1990s. Look for the ‘PFM’ on the back label, and know that it stands for Pure, –ing, Magic. I'll let you fill in the missing word.
