This Cabernet is really quite lovely, with a mineral intensity infusing the fruit character that runs the spectrum of black to red, with some crunchy apple skin tannins framing a very elegant and fresh wine. The tannins have this crisp, freshness like biting into a perfectly ripe Fuji apple. The finish is inviting, long, mineral-scented, with a dusting of dried wild herbs. From Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard in St. Helena, fermented in stainless steel, aged 19 months in 75% new French oak, with one-third transferred to concrete for the last months.
