The H. Klopp Chardonnay from Reeve is quite an interesting wine, showing surprising exotic aromas. Planted in 2013 by Ted Klopp and his daughter Lauren in the Sebastopol Hills, the vineyard is still a young site but already showing strong character. Notes of Rangpur lime, yellow apple and lilies open on the nose, setting the tone for a medium-bodied palate that is very citrus-forward, with focused acidity and a long, expressive finish. Really very good.
