Sourced from the Moulds Family Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from Clone 169, planted in pebbly clay-loam soils. The vineyard features a hillside block planted in 2005 and a bench block planted in 2015. Aged for 20 months in 100% new French oak barrels, it was bottled unfined and unfiltered. This wine is dark-fruited with notes of sagebrush and green tobacco. Compact and densely layered, it showcases pure blackberry and black cherry fruit supported by firm, fine tannins. The lengthy finish is marked by graphite and saline minerality, delivering a sense of freshness, energy, and tension. Remarkably, it shows none of the heat challenges associated with the 2022 vintage, making it a standout example of precision and balance.
