From Mike and Kara Dunn comes this Elevation wine, crafted from grapes planted at 550 metres on their family vineyard atop Howell Mountain. Approaching ten years in bottle, it remains surprisingly youthful, bursting with blue fruit, spiced plums, brandied cherries, fig jam and dark chocolate. A distinct, gravelly minerality weaves through notes of rich pipe tobacco and black olive tapenade on the long, savoury finish. The tannins are still firm yet inviting, beautifully integrated at this stage.
