The fruit for the 2023 is sourced from Stice Lane, Atlas Peak, Renteria 360 and Bennett Lane vineyards. Aged for 15 months in 100% new French oak, it represents a barrel selection of the finest lots. Full-bodied and cassis-driven, the wine is laced with graphite and violet aromatics, leading into impressively dark, saturated black fruit across the mid-palate. Supple, ripe, plump tannins are seamlessly integrated with toasty cedarwood spice, while a streak of blood orange brightness keeps the bold structure lifted and energetic. Long, juicy and richly textural, it is downright delicious.
