This Malbec comes from Stagecoach Vineyard on the Vaca Mountain range. It's a total crowd-pleaser of a wine. Positively dense, dark-fruited, with blue fruit compote, violets and lavender, mountain sage and dried sagebrush. The label has this rich blue color and iridescent green hues, and I swear that's exactly how the wine tastes. You can absolutely judge this wine by its label. And it's as delicious as it looks. Add to all that expressive aromatic intensity, rich, salted dark chocolate notes, which infused the soaring mountain tannin, all culminating with juicy blood orange acidity and toasty oak intensity. It's a big, bold, red that is totally delicious and will be so for the next 5-7 years. Drink up and enjoy with burgers.
