In 2024, Sequoia Grove began working with Hudson Vineyards on a newly planted block of the Montrachet Clone. 100% whole cluster, native yeast ferments, with malolactic fermentation in barrels, aged on all lees, no racking, for 11 months in 40% new French oak followed by 5 months in a small Stainless Steel tank. The wine is lovely, pure-fruited with apple-pear notes, hibiscus flowers, with a silky-satiny texture on the palate, slick with lemon-lime oil and wet stone on the mineral-scented finish.
