The 2012 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet is a power-packed wine with notable tension and balanced acidity. Tasted in late 2024, it feels remarkably complete at this stage, showing more power and depth than the 2012 Alexander Valley Cabernet while also exhibiting a touch more grace in its perfumed floral character and generous, ripe currant fruit. Still youthful, yet beginning to express the savoury nuances that develop with time in bottle, it reveals a subtle medley of tobacco, white pepper, and charcuterie. The blend includes 3% Petit Verdot.
