This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Silverado’s home vineyard in the Stags Leap District debuted in 2002, and production ranges from about 1,100 to 1,500 cases per annum. The wine is a good expression of the power and grace that are Stags Leap’s distinctive signatures for Cabernet. 

Compared to the estate version, the 2003 Solo is more brooding, lush, intense and solidly structured - a reflection not just of its reliance solely on Cabernet, but also of the vineyard’s rocky terroir and 29 days of maceration. More restrained than most Napa Cabernets of the era, it’s also a little rustic.
