Silverado’s home vineyard off the Silverado Trail was first planted to vines in the 1880s, and was one of the first to grow Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s the sole source of grapes for this single-vineyard wine. 

A brief autumnal hot spell after a dry, warm spring and moderate summer pushed an early harvest. Even so, the grapes were picked very ripe, giving a very full-bodied, dark, still almost opaque wine that’s compact and structured, balanced and classic, smooth and elegant, with cassis and floral aromas and a spicy finish.
