The 2023 Double Blessings ‘Peter’ is a red blend sourced entirely from the Tench Vineyard, comprising 60% Cabernet Franc and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 20 months in 33% new French oak. ‘Peter’ is named after proprietors Sam and Nada Simon’s son, with its counterpart wine, ‘Michael’. This wine is superbly ripe, leading with mulberry fruit and striking ironstone notes, lifted by a delicate floral character. Supple and robust, marked by pixelated tannins. Great polish, finishing with a juicy intensity and an earthy tonality. Just 70 cases were produced.
