2016 was an amazing vintage on the Sonoma Coast, says winemaker and proprietor Paul Sloan. It was a wet winter that led into the vintage, and yields were down, but berries were very concentrated. A rich fruit character leans into black tea leaves, forest floor, pine needles, and umami. Black tea leaves remain on the palate with rich red plum flavours. White pepper and smoky clove finish the rich, fruited palate with a savoury character.
