The wines are entirely estate-produced, sourced from 5.2 planted hectares of vines on a 5.6ha property. Aaron Pott has been crafting wines from this estate since 2010. The grapes are fermented with native yeast in stainless steel, utilising a combination of punchdowns and pumpovers, followed by 18–20 months of ageing in 50% new French oak. The 2022 vintage is a warm and generous Cabernet Sauvignon that embodies the up-valley richness typical of St. Helena-grown grapes. It opens with red berry fruits, elegant cedar spices, and hints of mocha. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it features a wealth of fine-grained tannins and crunchy red berry fruit, accented by brown spice aromatics. The finish is salty and mineral-driven, with notes of slate and crushed granite. A beautifully balanced wine.
