The Dollarhide Elevation Cabernet is a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Malbec. Vice president of winemaking and vineyards, Michael Scholz, points to the diversity of vine age across the Dollarhide Ranch, highlighting older plantings alongside mid-range vines now 20-30 years of age on the property’s hillside blocks. Fermented across a mix of vessels, the wine was aged for 22 months in barrel prior to bottling. Plush and velvety on the palate, it delivers mixed berry fruit layered with salted dark chocolate, raspberry, cherry, and spiced plum. More assertive tannins emerge on the medium- to full-bodied palate, while the Malbec contributes a juicy, upfront brightness that keeps everything lively.
