The style of this Zinfandel is the antithesis of jammy. It is structured, with perfectly ripe, pure mixed-berry fruits and fine brown baking spices, all wrapped in a cosy cedar-spiced blanket from oak ageing. This framework allows more lifted notes of rose petal and muddled cherry fruit to emerge in the nose and bouquet, while the finish is marked by savoury nuances of sage, coffee bean, tobacco and dark chocolate. One heck of a structured and finely made Zin.
