A likely one-of-a-kind taste, this Terret Noir defies reference points with a pale, translucent, clear-rimmed colour seeming to contradict its exuberant aromas, flavours and tannins. High-toned florals and spice star on the nose, with hints of juniper, black cherry and crushed granite in supporting roles. The floral bouquet continues with red fruit on the palate – raspberry and cherry – brightened with a sour-orange tang and anchored by deceptively grippy tannins.
