Floral top notes signal exuberance and almost verge on headiness, the plush but tart red fruit speaking amidst rose petal and potpourri. The palate is taut, fresh and toned, the bright acidity pervading every corner and providing backbone and structure alongside a very fine web of tannin. No new wood was used at all, the structure coming from 50% whole bunch fruit instead. The wine spent 10 months in used barrels, which allows the very honest fruit to speak freely with plenty of poise.
