2017 marks the first single-vineyard release of Bentrock Vineyard Chardonnay from The Hilt, who acquired the Rancho Salsipuedes property on which the site sits in 2014. 

The nose is lush, with layers of creme brûlée, caramel, and macadamia nuts, while the crunchy, saline texture of the palate is laced with fleur de sel and white chocolate. There is consistently an electric verve to the wines produced from this wind-swept vineyard, and it's one of the most intriguing Chardonnay sites in the Santa Rita Hills.
