Medium-bodied, featuring blueberry compote that leads to palate-coating granular tannins with a pixelated quality, underscored by chalky minerals, and layered with intriguing cacao nib and candied orange peel notes. Elegance meets power here, and a bit of bottle age will enhance this wine even further. A blend of 97% Syrah and 3% Viognier, with pumped-over fermentation using 84% whole clusters. Barrel-aged for 20 months in 16% new French oak. 287 cases produced by Adam Tolmach.
