Gap’s Crown sits in the Peteluma Gap, a Sonoma Coast subregion which officially became an AVA after the 2017 harvest. This site produces the brightest Chardonnay in the Three Sticks lineup, and is the only one that is returned to tank after barrel to retain freshness. A nose of parmesan rind, pineapple and lemon meringue leads to a palate of Asian pear, yellow apples and a subtly chalky finish. The texture combines density with a delicate, focused minerality. 250 cases made.
