100% stainless steel fermented, then aged in 35% new French puncheons, the "Avere" is crafted from select blocks in Sonoma Stage Vineyard, planted to 50% Calera and 50% Swan clone. It offers perfectly ripe dark cherry fruit, tobacco and white pepper hints, and forest pine and violets. Medium-bodied with focus and tension, it has grippy apple-skin tannins and a salty Himalayan saltstone minerality that carries through to a lengthy finish.
