Sourced from Clone 7 in the Saunders Block of Oakville Ranch, this Cabernet Sauvignon comes from low-yielding, five-year-old vines planted at approximately 183 metres in red-dirt volcanic soils, farmed by Phil Coturri. Aged for 27 months in 100% new French oak, this is a rich, full-throttle expression of Cabernet Sauvignon in the 2022 vintage. It bursts with dark black cherry fruit, while mocha-tinged tannins and elegantly toasted oak spices weave a savoury-sweet thread through the wine’s powerful and commanding presence. The signature Oakville Ranch mineral intensity shines through, with crushed stone and volcanic elements evoking a red powder-like quality. The finish is long and deeply structured, leaving an impression of both refinement and intensity—a striking expression of this exceptional site.
