Winemaker Jeff Mangahas notes that the team began working with fruit from Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard in 2016. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Blocks A1 and B1, with a portion from A2B, including some newer plantings, and was aged for 19 months in 100% new French oak. The wine is beautifully polished and expressive, showing exceptional balance and poise. Aromatics of violets and sagebrush build on the palate defined by very fine-grained, compact tannins. There is a layered complexity in this gorgeous, tension-filled, and pure-fruited expression of To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon.
