Sourced from a three-acre block in the lower slopes of the Williams Selyem Estate planted in 2011 to 18 different Chardonnay clones - many of them heritage selections, including cuttings from old Wente, known for tiny berries and intense floral character, which very much shows in the 2022 vintage: highly aromatic and perfumed, bursting with orange blossom, jasmine, and a soft, soapy note reminiscent of Savon de Marseille. On the palate, it's slightly creamy and tangy, with flavours of lemon meringue and ripe cantaloupe. A long, refreshing acidity carries the wine through to a clean, vibrant finish.
