Heintz is an iconic Sonoma site, situated at an elevation of 800 feet at the confluence of the Sonoma Coast, Green Valley, and Russian River Valley AVAs. Planted on classic Goldridge soils, the vineyard ripens slowly, allowing for full flavour development while retaining natural high acidity. It's typically one of the latest picks of the season for Chardonnay at Williams Selyem. The 2022 vintage exhibits a golden hue and an expressive nose of lemon curd, ripe and juicy pineapple, and honeysuckle, with subtle background notes of wild herbs and tea leaves. On the palate, it's fleshy yet focused, with notes of tart apple skin, citrus oil, and a high acid level that leads to a long, mouthwatering finish.
