Sta. Rita Hills

White

A single-block Dijon clone Chardonnay from El Jabali, a Richard Sanford vineyard in Sta Rita Hills, this wine is inspired by Chablis and made without malolactic fermentation, preserving its precision and energy. The nose is linear and mineral-driven, with green apple, pear and sea spray. Stone fruit, lemon marmalade, toasted nuts and a bergamot floral note unfold across a broad yet focused mid-palate. Richer than the nose suggests, it is anchored by acidity and an exceptionally long finish. Precise and elegant, this is a compelling expression of what a Chablis-inspired California Chardonnay can be.
