The ‘1836’ is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc, fermented in stainless steel and aged for 24 months in 70% new French oak, sourced from a site in the Yountville AVA. Enticing, juicy, and rather electric in feel, it shows fine mineral tension and well-defined tannins underpinning ripe blackberry and black cherry fruit. Baking spice, sagebrush, and elegant cedarwood are woven throughout.
