Pure blackberry fruit, cast iron shavings, and rich oak spices. Broad and expansive on entry, with baskets of very ripe black and blue fruits, intricate weaving tannins with a burly texture, and layers of stony minerality. A Cabernet just coiled with energy. Savoury black olive and salted chocolate on a lengthy finish. Aged 24 months in 75% new French oak. 1,200 cases produced. The winemaker is Michael Baldacci.
