Skin contact gives this wine added depth, colour, and even a bit of tannin. The blend of 39% Chardonnay, 37% Muscat, 8% Sauvignon Blanc, 6% Malvasia, 3% Verdejo, 3% Albarino and a drop each of Gewurztraminer, Semillon, Tocai Friulano and Pinot Grigio is coplanted then picked, destemmed and trod by foot together. It ferments on the skins for over a month and has an exotic nose with hints of hay, beeswax and dried flowers alongside the apricot and nectarine fruit. The texture is dense and broad and the finish is intriguingly long.
