This wine is among the most sophisticated skin-contact white wines made anywhere. It would be wrong to say 'orange', because the oxidation is tightly controlled. The must spends two weeks on the skins with two punch downs daily before being racked into amphora and neutral casks for seven months of ageing. There is a subtle, exquisite nose of quince, dried flowers, hay and beeswax. The wine is broad and rich on the palate, with a waxy texture and just a slight hint of tannin grip. Unexpectedly marvellous.
