Produced by blending grapes from a variety of Seneca Lake sites located on the eastern shores of the lake. Soil types include shale, loam over gravel, clay and limestone. This Pinot Noir is hand-picked, partially destemmed and fermented in open-top fermenters. Ageing in large and small neutral casks produces sweet cherry fruit aromas with hints of violets. The overall balance is precise, if lacking the complexity, structure and depth of the single-vineyard offering.
