Little Clover makes sparkling wines from grapes with a real historical significance in the Finger Lakes. Delaware was one of the grapes that launched the region's reputation for bubbles in the 1800s. A delightful bubbly from the older American hybrid, Delaware disgorged in December of 2022—playful fruity aromatic expression with lychee and lemon drop candies notes. The palate is fruit-forward, but a honeyed ginger note and the four years of tirage give this wine a real sense of depth. Fleshy ripe nectarine and apricot flavours play with cardamom, and a touch of pastry cream finishes the wine. Delightful.
