This 2015 Pinot Noir feels alive. Fresh dirt mingles with dark fruits, plums, and ripe dark cherries aromatics. The palate is lush and lovely, marked by umami. Lots of savouriness and depth of flavour thanks to an unseasonably warm finish to the growing season. An earthy note of mushrooms. Oak is found in an alluring smoky spiciness. Eight years have taken nothing away from the wine's freshness or richness. Made to age, this wine shows the potential of the Burgundian-style wines made to age in the Finger Lakes.
