This delightful Chardonnay was made with fruit from the Nutt Road Vineyard on Seneca Lake. The grapes were picked by hand and gently destemmed - not crushed - before pressing. The wine was fermented in one stainless steel barrel and three French oak casks (one new). The result has a bright, citrusy character with a mineral/saline note to it, very different from the exotic richness of the 2018 vintage. The texture is vibrant and racy, and the finish is long. This wine is a marvelous example of the potential of Chardonnay from the Finger Lakes.
