Meet Oregon’s most compelling Pinot Gris. Just don’t pour it at parties, as its rust-colored hue brings idle chit-chat to a halt while people decipher if it a white, orange or red wine. I guess 40 days of skin maceration will do that. Its savoury, saline aromas of fresh-cut hay and oranges are a nice prelude for flavours of persimmons, not-quite-ripe peaches, dried herbs and chalk. Orange or white, this chewy beauty is a delight.
