Super flinty on the nose, with aromas of lemon curd accented by sulphur, chalk, clotted cream and baking spice. The palate is teeming with lemon zest, underripe pineapple and yellow apple, all carried with beautiful coiled tension. The wine has loads of energy, with a vibrating acidity that will allow it to age beautifully. This is a gorgeous wine. You would not be out of line comparing it to a premier cru Burgundy. From Beaux Frères Estate, Doration, Star Mooring and Pearlstad Vineyards. Winemaker Damien Lapuyade aged this in 30% new French and Austrian oak, half in 500L puncheons and half in 228L barriques. 13.2% ABV.
