Tons of fresh red fruit on the nose, with a sanguine character, rose petals and just a hint of scorched earth. The deep baked-cherry fruit on the palate hits a beautiful bass note, accented by cedar sawdust, tobacco and spice. The wine is sinewy yet elegant, with a frame of finely pixelated tannins that fade slowly over the long finish. A phenomenal wine. Belles Sœurs is an estate blend hailing from the Beaux Frères Vineyard (17%) and the Bridge Vineyard (83%), a contiguous 8.9 hectare (22 acre) parcel that the winery quietly purchased from a neighbour in 2021. 13.7% abv.
