But only one of them has a Pinot Noir named after it, and it runs diagonally through Bennett’s property, within fishing-line distance of 8ha of Pinot Noir clones Pommard, 115 and 777. Heady aromas of pipe tobacco segue into ripe blackberry and black pepper flavours alongside polished tannins, with just enough acidity to keep things lively.
