Score Range 97-98.  Sourced from 50% Cristom Vineyards Jessie Vineyard fruit and 50% Bethel Heights Vineyard Steep Slope fruit, this wine is composed of Pommard and Dijon clones 113, 114, 115, 667, and 777 rooted in Columbia River basalt soils and crafted by Daniel Estrin and Ben Casteel. Harvest began on 30 September. One of the highest hills in the Eola-Amity Hills, Temperance Hill Vineyard rises to nearly 305 metres. Structured and fragrant, with fantastic energy and tension, the wine leads with crunchy red fruits and floral notes before revealing cranberry and blood orange across the palate. Ultra-fine, crisp tannins frame a long graphite- and slate-driven mineral finish laced with crushed coriander and subtle white pepper spice. The finish goes on and on, building with a chalky mineral character and dried orange peel that is utterly enticing.
